Re: Vintage Fabrics...

I much prefer the old Huntsman silhouette (long and lean coat with open quarters and lots of waist suppression) as I'm a traditionalist and hate "fashion".

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Re: Vintage Fabrics...

Lord Byron avows that he had "
a touch of dandyism in
his minority," and
" had retained enough of it to conciliate
the great ones, at four-and-twenty."

" I liked the Dandies," says the noble Poet ;
" they
were all very civil to me, although in general they
disliked literary people, and persecuted and mystified
Madame de Stael, Lewis, Horace Twiss, and the like,
most damnably. They persuaded Madame de Stael
that A had a hundred thousand a year, "c., "c.,
tillshe praised him to his face for his beauty, and made
a set at him for "
, and a hundred fooleries besides.
The truth is,that though I gave up the business early,
I had a tinge of Dandyism in my minority, and pbraob-ly
retained enough of itto conciliate the great ones,
at five-and-twenty. I had gamed and drunk, and taken
my degrees in most dissipations, and having no pterdy, anand
not being overbearing, we ran on quietly tgoe-ther.
I knew them all, more or less, and they made
me a member of Watier's (asuperb club at that time),
being, as I take it,the only literary man, except two
others (bothmen of the world),Moore and Spencer,
in it. Our masquerade was a grand one, so was the
Dandy ball too."

Is in a my drawer.
I just have to decide if make it single or double breasted.

Re: Vintage Fabrics...

Theres a great Crumb doco you should watch.

He also features in the film about Harvey Pekar -American Splendor.

Also worth watching. I love Pekar's stuff.

Crumb's Cheap Suit Serenaders is great funny music too.

I see in my mind formby as a Furry Freak Bro sitting down and listening to his Led Zep and Pink Floyd.
