Re: My Triple Tweed

What happened to the LabelKing at the SF?  Mr Incroyable, tell us please about what is happening.

I am not understanding why so many people become ban at the other sites.  This is why I have been enjoying this forum, very good information and very much less attitude.

Re: My Triple Tweed

Wow, you've been banned from both SF and AA. I thought you were only in Time Out on SF?

Has Horace been banned from both forums also?

Re: My Triple Tweed

Borace,

I was inside the timeout previous, and today I made 1 post, to say that I was going to the Poconos. Now I am banned, forever.

Horace too, for a reason unknown.

Hartmut vR,

Thank you I will come again in some time. For now, I need to escape these pressures of Astoria, and repair my heart.

But this sad feeling in my stomach, will it ever go?

Truely,
Vaclav

Re: My Triple Tweed

Well, it's true that I've been sent down from AAAC and SF.com.  Still, I bow to no one in
my admiration for styleforum and the moderators there.  I don't harbor any ill-will toward
Andy either.

Vaclav is my brother.  A slight against him is a slight against me.

LAGuy's post explaining my brother and my banning is only partially correct.  I'll have
to e-mail V. first to ask if I can give a full explanation in public.  But never did I have
any "moderating" powers.  Nor did he.  But, er, nor was I "moderate," I suppose.  I'm not entirely
sure of the reasons behind the banning.  I think there's some misunderstanding of what
actually occured.  Surely there are user logs that SF.com could consult to counter the accusations
against us.  Also there's some speculation that LK, V, and I may be related.  I assure
you were are three separate users, though our crew is like glue.  And my loyalty to them
knows no bounds.

I do thank the mods at SF for allowing us to expose those behind the curtains at AAAC.
There is a conflict between commerce and editorial content -- and it's good that everyone
has been made aware of it.

I suppose as long as this discussion keeps to one thread, it won't be minded too much
by anyone.

My wife, who read the messages, thinks it's funny that I've been banned from a clothing
forum.  She also thinks I might spend a bit too much time on the Internet nowadays.  She's
probably right on both accounts.  It's probably a good thing that I only have one forum to post
on now.

Yours in the struggle,

Horace

Re: My Triple Tweed

Mr Horace, I am not understanding these bannings.  I do not register at SF or AAAC because they seem very aggressive.  And while I am Bavarian origin and speak what I mean, my English is not so good, so I am afraid to post at these sites.   You are senior member at both of these sites, so I believe you have a knowledge to share, and I am wanting to learn. I must move past the Hugo Boss that my countrymen are fond.

Mr Vaclav, I believe him to be a misunderstood person.  I find him humourous yet sincere, and I am glad that he can post here at FNB.  I wish I was in astoria so that I could vist the biergarten with him; that is a favorite activity, to drink bier and eat wursts or schnitzel.

Mr Incroyable, I do not completely understand as well.  He speaks French, and I do not.  But as my friend says, <<why should I want to know a language of the failed empires.>>  He is telling a joke, but I do agree a little bit.  I now wish that I studied more English and not the Dutch.  That has not been very useful to me.

Ok, if I stray off of the topic.  I have just returned from the club and not fully nuechtern. I am sorry.

Yours sincerely,
HvR

Re: My Triple Tweed

Hello Harmut,

The French phrase was a reference to the fake farms that the Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, had where she would pretend to be a peasant.

It is similar to your country's Wittelsbach King Ludwig II where he would pretend with his castles.

Some of these people on the online boards pretend they are someone they are likely not.

Ah, but Dutch is also a language of a failed empire. Any European language is, actually. smile
