Thank you Nemesis !
European football this week. A bad year for English clubs in the Champions League.
Arsenal recovered a bit of pride in Munich even though it was not enough in the end.
We did OK in the Europa League which somehow lacks prestige. With no Cup-Winners Cup, or UEFA trophy it should count for more but too many games and not enough prize money count against it.
Barcelona v Milan was a magnificent game.
So I watched Question Time again last night.
It must be old age; but some of the female politicians are quite attractive to look at - the Welsh Liberal Democrat leader last night for example. But she does not look as good on their web site.
Also had Chukka Uwumma on. He's another of their regulars.
Finally found a heavenly connection via Youtube to the PBS Ken Burns documentary on jazz. Superb, up to episode 5 and each one is nearly two hours and is two hours well spent savouring the sumptuos photographs and commentry as only Ken Burns seems able to do. Wynton Marsalis features heavily and his commentry and insight is superb, you can say what you like about his music, he is passionate and knows the history of jazz.
Wonderful.
The Boris Johnson documentary.
Ken Livingstone and Ian Hislop of 'Private Eye' both identify Boris' ability to make people feel good and laugh as a huge strength.
Eddie Mair managed to advance himself by questioning Boris. Previously Mair was the boring Radio 4 man that you only heard on Sunday.

More football tonight. England don't have a good record against Montenegro. Wales should have a tough game against Croatia. Scotland are trying to not to embarrass themselves again in Serbia.
^ yes just noticed. Watching England is not something I particularly enjoy. May watch this since their coach has upped the ante a bit. Give it a few minutes to avoid sneaky advert breaks after the anthems and switch off during half time.
Half time. Montenegro defence is fairly open. They make England look better than they are.
1-1 - the Montenegro hoodoo continues.
England are ranked 4th on the FIFA rankings below Spain, Germany and Argentina. Brazil are 18th!
Watched "War Of The Worlds" starring Tom Cruise tonight. Great special effects, especially the killing machines, but the script and acting were truly dire.
Foyle's War tonight. At times, the new series seems like a Labour Party political broadcast. Michael Giant vibrator is always excellent and worth watching.
Churchill and the Fascist plot on Channel 4.
The story of Archibald Ramsey MP and the Right Club. How they had access to secret documents from the American Embassy that could have challenged the idea of US neutrality and scuppered Lend Lease. Ramsey ended up in jail for the duration of the war.
Champions League final tonight. My money's on the Germans.
Watched Mark Cavendish win the last stage of the Giro D'Italia to take the red points jersey. 5 stage wins this year in terrible conditions. Great performance by the Manx Missile, especially as many of the top OPQS team (e.g. Boonen and Terpstra) were not there to help him!
The film 'Secret Ceremony' (1968): despite the cast (Liz T; Bob Mitchum, Mia Farrow, Peggy Ashcroft), a weird little number, which I cannot quite fathom and the supposed 'plot' is not in evidence at all, as far as I can see. Art-House supreme.
Catch "Boss" seasons 1 and 2 with Kelsey Grammer in the lead about a Chicago mayor battling a neurodegenerative disease as he tries to keep control of the city.
A nice detail, the wardrobe of the different characters really matches what their equivalent types would wear in real life.
