The 50 best-dressed over-50s - oh dear

http://www.guardian.co.uk/fashion/gallery/2013/mar/29/50-best-dressed-over-50s

If that's the best dressed, I'd hate to see the worst dressed.

I know any list will be contentious, but this is a joke.

How do they get away with such nonsense?

What's the point of this list? Come to think of it, what's the point of this newspaper?

I have a GQ from not that long ago saying that double breasted suits are for your grandfather. Now I have two issues of GQ saying why you should want to raid grandpa's closet. I am glad I know what I know, the rest of the world is so very confused.

Isn't this list a couple of days early?

This list is merely 50 famous people who are over 50.

How can I get paid to just write drivel like that?

Most aren't as nice or interesting as a good train wreck but I actually like the first 3 ladies and one or 2 other women mentioned. Ferry isn't bad either.

They have to have been on telly at least once in the last decade to make it on the list.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Re: The 50 best-dressed over-50s - oh dear

The Guardianistas are above petty-bourgeoise concerns such as style, at least the non-vegetable, organic, vegan, preferably knitted by third-world kids, but done ethically variety. At least to their chosen demographic readership, but still doesn't stop them getting all gushing when confronted by the narcotic of fame and celebrity.

Rub a Guardian reader long enough, and there you will find a career frustrated, sexually inert Telegraph reader waiting on the ghost train for ride to the promised land of Tory voting and career advancement. Those who are there by choice, are Labour party members in search of an audience or champagne socialists slumming it for ego-kicks.

An awful rag, thankfully, when they have to charge for access, they're screwed.
