I bought my ticket yesterday. I am really looking forward to seeing this exhibition.
Despite a few terrible outfits (in retrospect) still Bowie ignited my interest in the power of clothes, back when I was a very small boy.
I have found Bowie's re-inventions interesting but his music was not my taste. Sean Connery was my first style icon and I had a model Aston Martin DB5.
Wish this ran longer, I won't be in the UK until Sept.
BTW for anyone who is a fan of Bowie the book 'Starman' by Paul Trynka is without doubt the best biography - a truly fascinating read which I can heartily recommend.

I remember reading somewhere that Bowie's carnation as The Thin White Duke was basically down to his stealing the wardrobe from The Man Who Fell to Earth movie. Urban myth or true?
What happened to formby?

If this is true, then I am afraid a great injustice has been made.
It is FNB's venue really, surely he would not permit the banning of Formby?
I'm pretty surprised by this. The best thing this website had going was it's openness and self policing. The exact reason I sort of floated over here from all the other syncophantic forums where the ban hammer is wielded with impunity by idiots.
This is a game changer, this is Devil's Island, a rumbullion pirate Island state after all!
Others have been banned in extreme circumstances, generally for mental health reasons which I fully concur with, although the Bish was banned for awhile.
But the gentleman, Formby?
Surely, this is jest, some errant joke, me thinks?
