Quality black shoes look sharp and really smart. Brown is more relaxed.
Black bespoke classics from Cleverley will be a winner.
For an Edward Green top draw l would get a heavily antiqued burgundy `southwold' on the 888 last. Absolutely brilliant!!!
l had business up the bush for a couple of weeks and mainly wore brown shoes. When l wore my two pairs of black monks it just didn't look right in the country - they stuck out like a sore thumb.
I've got some black Cleverleys on as we speak.
Might be getting Mark Muir along to the Cleverey bespoke show too. Mark and his father have been Melbourne icons selling mid end ltalian shoes for decades in their shoe shop(s). l couldn't believe it when Mark said he might come along and order a pair, but l did talk him into it and tell him it's gonna be the highlight of his shoe wearing career. l pumped him up and got him excited (not so easy to do with Mark). Now l need to hit the streets and get some more people for the bespokes, l reckon l can do it. l'll pump `em all up so they can't sleep at night.

Hi Shooman, I've just stumbled across your postings and I'm interested in contacting John, the shoeman here in Adelaide. I tried to contact you direct but the blog won't seem to let me. Can you help me please?
I'm looking at retirement and don't really want to and learning a craft (art) appeals to me. I'd like to be able to chat with guy and ask him about it.

l have spoken to various celebrities and leading politicians about the trunk show, so hopefully it generates some interest. l am also going to ring one of Australia's leading high society families tonight and ask them to tell all their rich mates about it too. l want these hidden people to have the opportunity.
