I thought more of a mischievous humuculus, but yes, I thought you were my good chum, Nicholas.
Drinking: Novice - Tripel Black from the De Jandstheer brasserie brewey in Belgium, at a reassuring 8.5%, with a little Stanley Turrentine on the turntable.
8.5% must be treated with respect, but not quite like wine.
Quite true, that's why there are special glasses here on the continent.
Trasnsubstantiated diet Sunkist. I cannot tell the difference.
Saltaire Cascade pale ale in the Magpie & Crown. Before and after Brentford v Portsmouth match. Great Bees comeback to win 3 2. Big crowd. Pompey celebrating avoiding going into administration.
Lunchtime pint in my favourite local country pub The Moletrap (located in the tiny hamlet of Tawney Common near Epping) of Black Hole Bitter 3.8% (I was driving) from Burton on Trent. Missus thought it was very flowery (strong hop taste) . Czech heritage apparently. The Barmaid recognized us straight away even though we are not regular regulars.
Bulleit Rye last night.
Had half a pint of Fullers Golden Pride at 8.5% before I left The Willoughby last night. Several weaker brews before that though. Excellent blues group on as well as the beer fest. http://www.thewilloughbyarms.com/
Will be back tonight after the Fulham v Arsenal game

Some airport bottling of Macallan Special Oak, sourced at the Mexico City airport duty free..
Following press reports that Aldi's London Dry Gin had won a silver medal in blind tasting I popped down to my local store and bought back a bottle of their Oliver Cromwell Gin (37.5%). I can report that it wasn't half bad for under £10 for a 70cl bottle. I noticed they also sold a small batch premium gin (40%) and I might try that next time. Other middle class people were pushing the usual customers out of the way to get at the Gin. I also bought a 2012 Toro red wine for about £4 which went well with a robust vegetarian curry. They don't call me the cheapskate for nothing.

Do you chaps put a dash of Angostura bitters in your G&T's?
