Re: Autumn/Winter Sports Coats.

oh meant im going to go for the purple sportjacket .. but still not decided which cloth to plumb for yet ... i like both the ones i posted previously even though they are different shades of purple  ... i'll have to look more closely at samples in the light and feel the cloth .. they are very different in nature and i assume will wear differently too ...

Re: Autumn/Winter Sports Coats.

anyone know much about camdeboo  cloth (type of mohair i believe)? dunhill seem to be marketing this in a big way in their stores, with a message along the lines of it being a luxury cloth while being being wrinklefree ...

anybody tried this before or checked out dunhill's product?

Re: Autumn/Winter Sports Coats.

cheers formby .. the crispaire cloth might work well as I will likely wear it in crowded bars and restaurants in the city .. still waiting to see my tailor so i can go through bunches.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of kid mohair over regular mohair? im guessing the kid mohair is a lot more pricey as its the first cropping of the goat?

Re: Autumn/Winter Sports Coats.

although summer kid hair is finer, ive heard it described as a coarse cloth, how can this be the case (other fine fibres such as cashmere or the S100s have a tendency to feel softer and create a bit of a nap)?

also, i recall reading on some fora something about 3 ply mohair with some mourning the loss of dormeuil's tonik mohair cloth. at the risk of a obvious question what is 3 ply mohair and why is it better than anything else, if indeed it is? on harrisons website they have some 3 ply mohair blends ..
