i was wondering if letting out a shoulder tuck affects a shirt in any way .. some makers such as N&L insist on making their shirts with a 34" sleeve only .. which is nuts imo as most men probably need a 35". anyway they claim they can let out the sleeve by 1" by letting out a 'tuck' at the shoulder, does this affect the shirt in any way? i conducted a quick google search and came across the following question which was well asked, but no response was forthcoming reply on AA .. so ive copied and pasted below ..

Shoulder Tuck on Shirt Sleeves
I am a fan of Jermyn Street Shirt Makers. I like CT for the value, would like Pink well enough, were it at CT's price; and I would buy H&H if they had button cuffs and H&K if a slim fit were available. My thriftiness won't allow me to buy T&A, unless it's on sale. TML I think of as another CT, basically.
After hearing the name dropped here in the forum, I have been thinking about shirts from New and Lingwood. I'm curious, however, about how they deal with sleeve length on their RTW shirts. On the website they describe their shirts as having "extra fabric in a shoulder tuck, giving possibility of extra sleeve length," and suggest that what they do, when you order the sleeve an inch longer than their standard 34" size, is let out this shoulder tuck to get you the extra inch of length.
Is anyone familiar with this? Does having a "shoulder tuck" enhance the look of the shirt somehow (creating a line at the shoulders, perhaps?), or does having this tuck let out for more length affect the appearance negatively?
