Cary Grant's Shirt in "North by Northwest"

Does anyone here know who made the shirts that Grant wore in NBNW?  Were they Turnbull & Asser?  I am trying to figure out how to properly describe that collar of his to a shirt maker.

There were several shirts including one with a button down collar. Do you have a photo of the collar you liked ?

I can say with almost 90% certainty that they are not AK.

Here's a link to an article about Cary Grant's shirtmaker: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?sec=travel&res=9D0CE5DF133BF93AA25756C0A967958260

The articles does not say that the firm made any of the shirts Grant wore in North by Northwest. The white button-down (as well as the black tassel loafers) that Grant wears in the last scenes of the movie are almost certainly Brooks Brothers. Brooks started carrying Alden sometime in the late '50s.

Regards,

Steven

Studying similar shirts that Grant wore in Charade, his collar seems to have hidden buttons.  I don't know how common this feature was with bespoke makers in the UK, but Hamilton offers a "hidden button down" that resembles Grant's collar to a degree:

Re: Cary Grant's Shirt in "North by Northwest"

...Marc, I had a similar sort of experience with a shirtmaker, "Bostridge & Curties," recommended by my tailor.  Mr. Curties had done a group of shirts well enough, but made a dress shirt with sleeves too short or something or other.  He remeasured during a subsequent visit -- but never returned it to me along with a new group of biz shirts I had ordered & paid for.  It is because of this experience that I go to reliable sources like T&A.
