Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

Thanks all!

Yuca, looks like a solid 38 and it's a keeper! smile

Not sure even I could pull that paisley sack off, Tom!

Zach sold a similar batik (I think) not too long that was a real killer.

Craziest thing I've ever sold. Batik print with birds.

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

Haha I remember that one and I kind of dig it except for the side vents!

This one that you moved recently was my favorite though - https://www.etsy.com/listing/150123383/bold-green-paisley-linen-two-button

I would've jumped all over it in the right size.

Here's another example that Darcy listed over the holidays in a kind of bonkers batik tiki-looking print...

Go bold or go home!

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

Zach, do you think that Arthur Johnson sack was a custom made piece?

edit: just realized it's a darted cut; still zero cool though!

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

I find myself drawn to the more sobre batik prints, though I know I'd never have a chance to wear one without feeling totally out of place.

The Paisley and bird prints aren't for me.

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

I prefer paisley on the INSIDE of my jackets!

I do think that darted moss green number from Arthur Johnson that Zach sold was killer though. I'd definitely take more picnics, maybe even take up lawn bowling as a sport if I owned that!

Haha.  Is that what you lot wear for lawn bowling over there?

Over here it's all beige beige beige.  Maybe the odd pair of grey loafers.

I imagine lots of seersucker, poplin and silvery-haired old men dressed like Mifune in Stray Dog!

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

Since woolie snagged that primo cord suit, I've been thinking about putting a bid in on this.  What do you guys think?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Barbie-Clothes-Kens-Olive-Corduroy-Suit-pants-Original-/200925067637

It's 3 button, but has darts.  Looks like soft shoulders.  I love the color.  Pants look to have a nice taper too.

Beautiful shirt... too bad the back is thrashed and on the verge of coming apart. The seller must be delusional.

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

As soon as someone attempts to drape that thing over, it'll tear in two. It's not even on seam so it can't be stitched up. I wanted to write the maroon to tell him/her how dumb they are, but unfortunately questions are blocked. Clearly the person lives on another planet.
