Favorite watchmaker of FNB members?

I have been thinking of a Patek Philippe 5196J as an everyday selection for dress casual and suits, and thought I would ask you gentlemen what you happen to prefer strapping on your wrists. Please let me know your thoughts.

I have this: http://www.patek.com/html/en/ref_5120.html and would love to get this for daily wear: http://www.patek.com/html/en/ref_5127.html

I'll be getting a Reverso Duo before long. The list goes on and on.

Past a basic competency, I am not interested in time or movement precision. Primarily I consider a watch an accessory which is why I like a lot of the Cartier and Dunhill models. Some of the Baume and Mercier also interest me. Of course, I have nothing against the Pandolfo or a lot of the smaller Swiss makers you see advertised or featured in watch magazines.

Re: Favorite watchmaker of FNB members?

I've worn my stainless Rolex Air-King, which was a law school graduation gift from my parents, every day for the last 30 years. There's never been a problem. My wife, a habitue of jewelry stores, and I agree that my next watch (if ever) should be JLC Reverso tank (sun and moon).

Regards,

Steven

I'm very seriously considering an IWC Novecento.

Brown is for farmer. Green is for hunters. No loafer with a suit. No BD shirt with a tie.

Re: Favorite watchmaker of FNB members?

I wear an IWC Portuguese and Big Pilot. Hate most of their newer watches, though. I feel betrayed. FP Journe watches are beautiful in an elegantly quirky way, but the finishing isn't quite as fine as what you'd expect for the prices (compare to Dufour). Still, of the independants, Journe is my favorite.

Re: Favorite watchmaker of FNB members?

this is my watch and I am in love with it.  The panerai radiomir 1938, its is really big but I am really big so I can pull off big watches and frankly need a big watch or it looks very strange on me.  My mother hates big watches but like this one on me.
