Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

It never stopped you Dave! wink

Honestly, things are quite obvious, and it is not like Jim never said he wasn't doing it all along, keeping the forum on message, making sure the forum was 'proper' Ivy, that took Jim and others to do what they did, now, I'm not saying that is right, but I'm sure we will see problems still surrounding Wardrobe posters taking the piss, I'd like to see the forum work and not be under a tyrannical dictatorship such as Jim and crew. But that is why things were the way they were, and for people to feel it was personal was silly of them.

Trouble is, there are some really top people on here, that don't like such an underhand approach to conducting themselves online, I think this is evident of how the net is less anonymous nowadays. I hope the forum can hold it together, because it's to good a resource and group of core people for it to go down, but Jim isn't the threat. And if you don't like being taken for a fool, it was made clearly many times, that is what Jim was all about.

Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

Well it's true like I said, the biggest mistake Jim made was just having the lease, this is FNB's forum, Jim was a guest, and his tinkering saw you lot turn on each other, and FNB only had one option.  I'm not saying it was right what Jim did, but I understand why he did it. I'd love a forum away from the wardrobe because I don't think the respect is there for it to co-exist at the moment, the cracks are still there, even without Jim to fan the flames.

Sammy said, he is on here for intellectual debate, more so than clothes, to be fair, it's a clothing forum, and I'd have it a guess Sammy probably doesn't know as much about clothes as he does grammer, I see you as being different Formby, but still there is a looking down on Ivy, which is fine, I can see why if you appreciate higher levels of tailoring, but a forum concentrating on it doesn't need to be trolled no matter how elegantly. It causes cross forum relationships to fray. And Jim had the means to put the wind up you all. He was also a dick to wander over on to the Wardrobe and start messing about on there, how could he ever say he was keeping himself to himself. So I understand why you lot feel how you do, but if you had any care for the bigger picture, instead of just how well you come over in an argument, you'd understand how to move things on, I don't see that happening yet.

I think Jim should sod off, and you guys should keep to your bit, and the Ivy guys stick to theirs, and concentrate on getting things back together.

I don't think you get it GW, wait until you don't want mod pictures on your Ivy forum, or Prep or trad, you'll want to keep things to what you have in mind, your big picture, your masterplan, that is what Jim did. And paid the price of being a control freak.

The word truthful has no connection whatsoever to your online behaviour.

Style it out all you want, but the fact remains: all of us on TI - except Bop - think you've been behaving like a total arse.

Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

Exactly, his part of the forum, his means and his ends, and he kept telling you all a long, that is the planet I'm on. I'm not sure what the surprise is, the fact is the real problem is how do the wardrobe and Talk Ivy move forward together? Probably by people stop being complete dickheads. The unification surrounding the vindication of Jim won't last, well it didn't last more than a minute, the underlying problems and why Jim was such a dick in the first place will become apparent, he knows this, he is an intelligent chap, and is probably pissing himself at what we've let ourselves in for(um), it's quite a blinkered view just to think Jim is/was the problem.

Sorry to say that I don't want you being part of my new venture Jim, best we part ways now, your means and ends, aren't mine. I'll always appreciate the forum, and your knowledge, but the net has moved on, and this isn't the way to operate. IMO

I'm trying to make the point that there will still be problems if we don't find away of respecting both parts of the forum Hep.

Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

Yeah, well if you got emails from a supposed mate under another name trying to blag his clothing company onto your blog with a right fairy tale you might have the same opinion of him as me. Or sending you Pms encouraging you to blow off at someone so he could kick that person of HIS forum...and then end up writing for said persons blog. I've removed his articles from mine. I would suggest Leer does the same. Both of us are being used so he can blow smoke up his own arse. For someone who likes to talk about integrity in clothing he sure hasn't much of it as a human being.

JFM has all the characteristics of a dog, apart from loyalty.

I don't think your getting Bop. Because your still standing for his silly bollox, and you will do as good as he wants you too, or you wake up and smell the coffee. But, hey good luck with your new forum. I'm sure it'll give you great pleasure listening to him talking Jim.
