Although its mainly obviously from a woman's perspective and is mostly pictures, its still quite fun for a non-American like me. A lot of the pictures are from the sixties with a proportion of specially commissioned new ones. Covers not only clothing but houses, education (nice pic of a young Bobby Kennedy and pals on college steps), 'lifestyle', politics etc. Only jarring point when flicking through it was a recent advertising pic of J.Press gear. Not because of the clothes but that one of the models was...black. In amongst all that Wasp stuff it was quite strange and perhaps shows more about advertising than anything else.
Having grown up in Britain, with its inherent class system, it's always enlightening to find out more about our cousins structures and their differences and similarities.
One question prompted by one of the pictures. Are bright green trousers the hip thing to have in Waspland?

Call 'em Kelly Green & you're golden.
What's interesting too is the books that others bought in addition to this one. Amazon (USA) indicates Jeremy Hackett's book, among others.
Terry, It's a good job that your 'memberhood' isn't in Andyland! Surely....
anyone seen JFK's inauguration shirt on ebay? starting bid 2,500,000 or thereabouts! such a bargain! i'm think i'll throw down five to ensure it's mine. I jest. Anyway it's a Saville Row shirt.
And very often these pastiches are preferred by the paying public to the real stuff.
I see the link to Ralph-ism too. Good call.

perhaps one of the many, many multimillionaires on BBR will be the winning bidder, and display it at next year's Flatulence Festival.
