Seems like SF has been failing frequently recently.
Seems Styleforum is experiencing technical difficulties at the moment.

Suppose our jest is misguided after all...
I loved Incroyable's post on backpacking in style. Found on SF. Porters and a khaki suit are essential. I remember seeing a film -- maybe a BBC series about the RAF -- and this one officer has assembled kit from the past 100 years, including a thunder bucket or whatever it's called -- essentially a toilet to use whilst on campaign in India. He brings it along with him to France with everything else.
I was always amused as a kid to see all the films where the English officer would bring golf clubs, racquet, etc. along with him. Later I realize that it signaled how woefully ignorant the English (and the Europeans) were for the horrors of modernity that they faced and that those totems suggested the old order was doomed in the face of modernity.
Oooops.
Love it:

Matt's just posted some excellent custom shirt details in the interest of advancing a much-needed discussion on Styleforum.
