this image sums it up perfectly ... the trousers would look great on a sexy 19 year old GIRL .. but on a guy? look at the model .. he looks like he's wincing in discomfort ... these designers really are f8cking idiots ... well either this or they are women or men who probably wish they were women (sorry if this is offensive .. but im in a really really bad mood after wasing my day! thanks bish ...  i'll go back into picadilly tomorrow if i can face it again and check them both out  ... you seem to be a fan of both cordings and roderick charles .. im in the process of 'deleveraging' on my clothes budget in these economically challenging times so appreciate the tips ..i cant really afford to pay bespoke these days, perhaps the odd thing now and then but definately not each and every thing .. its either that or move to Hong Kong and find a decent tailor.

i was in cordings the other day but as i think you mentioned they didnt have many tweed jackets in there, i think perhaps as the summer ends theyll get some more in ... i was looking at various other sources for odd jackets and the like and i came across two brands 'magee' and 'bladen' sold on the following website which look good and are cheap but unfortuantely theres only one stockist in london selling magee adn thats in Ealing! so might have to do a test buy and if its garbage sned back .. which is a headache ..

Great thanks guys. I like the look of Bladen, like the style of their clothing and especially like the prices as its 1 decimal place less than what im used to paying! I went to their website and instantly recognised their blazer from the ones benson and clegg carry. It looked like a nice blazer in the shop and I even tried it on but it was tight around the shoulders which was annoying as the cut was good, I assume they use the same block for all their jackets which is a problem. I see on their website they have a mtm programme which may be a solution.

Not looking for a blazer but was sort of thinking that their jackets are probably all cut on the same block so if the blazer was tight around the shoulders ( this is bizarre as I don't have big shoulders relative to the rest of my frame) I'm guessing the tweed jackets will be similar .. they do a mtm programme which I may try if its reasonable.

More generally I'm really looking for one store I can go into and buy odd trousers, tweed jackets etc .. Good quality tailoring off the rack at a fair price ..with homogenous sizing so you know how it all fits, frankly it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Don't mind paying upto £750 ish for a jacket and half that for trousers .. any more and it doesn't make sense rtw for me. I seem to do a lot of things where I don't need to look a million dollars but just want to look elegant and dress conservatively and traditionally. Maybe we should start a menswear shop .. then again looking at most on the high street these days they still wouldn't come .. ahhhh well.
