On another thread, Kingstonian explores the begrudging of the Irish of the success of their fellows.
Are clothing forum readers guilty of this with regard to the relative success of the Andys, Kabbazes, Aldens and even Chensvolds of this world?
Are posters on this forum?

Poor old Crompton seems to generate begrudgery just for doing what journalists do - getting freebies and making a name for himself.
I do not know who Arlen is.
^ His grandfather was featured in the blog. So he would know the score.

Shillchrist's latest plug is the book written by "Ravi's Tailor" - http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?130706-Ravi-s-Tailor-s-new-book!
Hello. I'm a long-time reader, but only just a member. I've chosen this topic for a first post.
It goes without saying that Crompton should always be first in line for a good drubbing when considering the self-styled menswear gurus. I stopped reading his tripe pretty soon after he started on his shilling.
I know precious little about Michael Alden, only that he had some weird videos on his blog where he was acting like a silent comedian with his hat in the middle of the street, in broad daylight.
The photo of Andy Gilchrist on his forum looks like Nicholas Parsons.
There is also Will Boehlke (though I don't despise him, he seems a nice chap). His clothes just don't fit him. I don't give a monkey's who his tailors are or how much he paid, his trousers are always misshapen and baggy and his double-breasted coats look tight. Unfortunately he may be one of those who feels a lot better than he looks. That photo smile - like a plantation owner in the hot sun - doesn't help.
