Tie dimples

I just read this oldie for the first time. I always dimple my tie with a four in hand knot. Are there times when a dimple can be omitted? I was going to order that 85 ways to tie a knot book as well until I realized it was a fortune. Any cheaper sources for it?

What are the style based or social pros and cons about a dimple versus no dimple?

Will there be a follow up essay on knot tie etiquette?

How oddly flat your body looks, Tommy...

Are you quite well?

Concerned.
