Children's movies

I know that our host loves classic movies and I never tire of them myself, but is it only me that is amazed and in wonder at the realism of modern animated movies?

I was watching a "Shreck" movie with my daughter a couple of weeks ago and I thought that if the animation was anymore real it would not look like animation.

Re: Children's movies

I think that the animators have a lot of fun when they get into all that detail.

I can remember as a boy making models and the most important step was the individualized painting at the end, so that each ship, tank etc looked real.

Re: Children's movies

New random thought:

While watching Curious George with Sam (Samantha) yesterday I noticed that the man with the big hat always wears the same yellow polka dot tie which is cut short in a vintage style.

The cartoon illustrators are keeping with the style of the original books I assume. Although I don't exactly remember from my childhood and I don't have the books on hand.
