I just cannae share in the joy. Hopefully someone out there will see to the problem of the jacket. Keydge are not the answer
First off it's lapped seam, pisstake really for the price. I don't like the sleeve button detail. I don't like the lapels the sIeeve width feels generous compared to the body. But fit isn't an issue. It's the look and details. They just look ugly IMO And they never seem to sit right with the other stuff.
I'm sure they serve a purpose for a lot of people. I just don't think the ramie ones really were that good. Not like the herringbone one which l thought did work. But I still didn't like the details mentioned above

Cheers. I'm yet to see one in the flesh and I find the love it or hate it vibe around them interesting.
Also I hate the French so please don't discount massive amounts of xenophobia
Far too sloppy for me, and even in a 48R, I've managed to find authentic US made sacks at a much better price.
I'd like to offer that the Keydge isn't a jacket.
They are not to be considered in the same way as a 3/2 Authentic American Sack.
They are 'Other'.
Non ?

Shame. I fancied a ramble...
There was survey and the French had the largest penises, as I recall. My old Troll Master 'Gomez' posted it up on The Wardrobe once.
Back to the Keydge - How can it be judged ? It's a thing in its own right. It is most certainly NOT a jacket.
It's only Jacket-esque.
I once bought one in the company of the great Graham Marsh in JS and he judged them 'Cardigans'. We'd just polished off a bottle of Red together at Home House on the Stedman tab...
I think he said some truth, again.
Even if its being judge by that standard id take a topsman.
The Pendleton Topsman
If it's not a jacket it's not a cardigan.

Mine will feature this fall and winter. Just got it back from the mechanic. Sleeves were way too long.

Oh yes.
But that's not the same.
Not much is.
I thought you said it wasn't a jacket?
Permission to reclassify them as UFO's- Unidentified French Outerwear.
The topsman not the topster Jim. The same thing but much nicer and the back Is actually cut like the topster. One panel no vent
Even closer in style to a Keydge from Pendleton is the early 60's 'Sir Pendleton' blazer, which is pretty much a Topsman with a 2 piece back and centre vent.
I do like the inside pouch in my Keydge pocket tho', perfect for a crack pipe and a lighter
