I'm sure modern Jos A is complete crap. It would have to be considering how they give it away. But I do have an old Jos A. 3/2 undarted silk jacket, with super lightly padded shoulders, and I really like it. I'd say it's from the '70s from the union tag. A sort of flecked textured look to the silk. It's a nice jacket. I'm sure their quality was much better back then, like others I won't name.

Sorry for the aside, but JAB really forces you to buy in the crazy multiples. Patrick said their OCBDs without the toxic finish were on real clearance, so I tried to grab one. Figured I might as well toss something else in the basket if I'm paying shipping. Well, it's five shirts for $100, but one for ~ $87.50. I played with the website and the 'discount' is literally only for exact multiples of five. That sixth shirt is back up to the full fictional MSRP. I was so disgusted by this chicanery that I just called the whole thing off.
