I have a medium heavy mustard cord shirt with two button flap pockets I wear as a loose light jacket like that - sometimes over another old OCBD. I keep pondering if I should ask Ms fxh to cut it off a bit and sew it up square at the bottom. I've been pondering for about 3 years......
Yes im sure someone knocking up shit in china is really slaving over jazz smilies when they get a shit pattern cutter to make their jackets in a labour camp
Bop - I've some cream here for your yeast extract
But back to the thread - Bop, I'm loving your tenacity and sticking to your guns and you clearly analyse stuff far more than I ever could or would want to, and are an upstanding member of the Ivy Community...
I could be wrong but I've a feeling the Keydge jacket isn't for you...
It's just clothes to me... me likey or me not..
For all the hot air that gets blown about details and all the money that gets spent... your argument is they're just clothes? Just badly cut and over priced clothes.. well you guys crack on..
Looks like H needed to have not slaved away over that collar roll after all... any old shit will do!
/\ A post with great charm.
I was going to say next you'll be telling me they've got a nice personality.. and you are.
I believe I am right in saying these lapels are fucked. Im not talking about charm. Im talking about a very tangible and measured thing. It causes them to sit wrongly. The notch is meant to help the lapel break correctly following the line up the chest because the notch is set to high this doesnt occur correctly.
Back the to the drawing board I say. There is better for less with more, cut correctly and bags of 'charm'.
Im sorry to be the messenger and dont take it personally they're wank.

Bop- I've tried other alternatives, both vintage and new. They remain unworn at the back of my closest... My JKs get a lot of wear because they work for me.
They work really well for me and I'm willing to pay for that. I think it's ok that you don't like them. At the end of the day, it's all personal preference.
Here's a list of things that work for me that bring me joy:
New jpress trousers
Jkeyedge Jackets
New and vintage reyn spooner shirts
New Gant popovers
Vintage Pendleton
New Alden shoes and boots
Saint James Brentons and jumpers
Filson bags
Red wing boots
New mini cooper
Apple computers and Pear Shaped, iPad
Vintage furniture
Technics SL 1200 turntable with vintage receiver
VIntage vinyl
Some things I preffer to be new, some vintage... some are made in the USA some in china. It's all about personal preference and what I'm willing to part with - in terms of money

Don't start me on the feedback caused by the non-floating tonearm on a 1200!
You people:
Personal preference? You decadent capitalists... wait till this gets back to Heikki in FDR HQ

Sorry I meant GDR cant be seen to be getting that mixed up!
I tried on Keydge jackets in John Simons shop. They came up much smaller than even Uniqlo. The quality was typical Chinese crap but the prices were OTT.
