The X-Files

I used to watch this show all the time when it was new.  I recently signed up for Hulu+ and found the whole series on there.  I've been re-watching it in order and one thing that really stands out is how everyone is wearing ventless suit jackets (maybe not everyone, but most of the lead characters.)  Also the ties are pretty bad, lots of dull geometric and muted floral designs.

This series covered most of the '90's, time-wise.  Anyone remember this sort of thing being the standard? What do you guys like as far as vents are concerned?

Double vents ftw.

Re: The X-Files

By the way, I would let Gillian Anderson tie me up and shout obscenities at my genitals.

That's one fine looking woman, even in those terrible '90's clothes.

Side vents, ventless can look good but has to be tailored. The clothes in the x files where awful but it was a great show. Factoid: my son is called Fox Reeves, inspired by Fox Mulder.

Re: The X-Files

You have the luckiest kid ever.

I got a little tired of the show when it diverged from the Monster-of-the-Week show and became like a soap opera with aliens, but on the whole I'd be comfortable labeling it a classic.

Re: The X-Files

In the interest of full disclosure, I never liked the X Files at all.

Re: The X-Files

Mrs. WM loves X-Files.  The episodes are hit or miss and I have to be in the mood.  The clothes all seem too large, huge overcoats, too long pants, bad wide ties.

+ 1 on Anderson screaming into my genitals though.  She can give me some of that Skully anytime, if you catch my drift. Scully - Skully - skull - head

Will Ms Anderson isn't my bag, I wouldn't say no if yer catch me drift.

Seems to be busy over here in that last couple of years, played Lady Dedlock and Miss Havisham in a couple of Dickens adaptations.
