But you’ve got to produce a few wrong choices to acquire the proper one particular.
^ I know this is spam but I'm leaving it here because it's Bops thread and I know he's into all this online gaming shit.
It's probably a worthy thread for shoo to pass a judgement on
I've munged the spam. Corporate policy old son.
I cant comment on beings of light I am interested in spirituality and shamanism etc. But I dont think you need to sunscribe to it to become interested in your diet. And I dont think does a service to anyone to be inclined to heavily in one direction when it comes to their health... unless they are trying to over come some disorder or illness
You might care about them if you read up on them.
Just don't write them off until you know about them.
Fair enough, right?
I spoke to a lady I work with about native american fasting weeks shes been on.. and seeing the spirits im not sure if thats a similar thing... but she also believes that disabled people are suffering from things they did in their passed lives.. like glen hoddle did.. im not to sure if people are just mentally ill when they get into this type of spiritualism.. im quite willing to listen but sometimes you have to wonder do these things just manifest in the mind?

You probably think that woman is ignorant when she starts talking about disabled people.
Other people might think the same about you when you start talking about people into 'this type of spiritualism' as being mentally ill.
Don't you think you'd like to know more on the subject before completely dismissing the people who believe in this stuff?
I'm not sure how shoo could prove to me his experiences are true... I dont see believing in god, transcendental beings or ghosts, to be warranted any acceptance as truth without physical proof... otherwise it is merely a representational abstract of what may very well be considered fact.
How can you accept it as either true or untrue (real or unreal) without proof? It cuts both ways.
Are you willing to accept the possibility that 'beings of light' are real?
I see no proof of God existing in the Universe and I do not believe there is a God.
But I don't jump to the conclusion that God definitely does not exist and that anyone who believes otherwise is mentally ill.
I accept the possibility that God (or Gods) do exist.
Let's change the terminology a little.
Instead of Shooeys words we transplant in our own terms. Just for fun you understand.
Instead of using our minds (brains) to traverse the Universe we use an infinitely complex machine capable of things we do not as yet understand.
Instead of third eyes and lights coming out of our foreheads which act as tunnels to traverse the universe, we use wormholes.
Instead of 'beings of light' we talk about Aliens who live in other galaxies or solar systems or even Universes. Maybe they are not completely Alien and are us in a different universe (dimension).
What now?
It's for science to explore and it will explore it im sure... but let me ask you in return what if these things are manifestations in the brain and are not realities at all... is a dream a reality because you experience it? At the moment shoo could just be describing the experiences he feels in an altered state, and we are meant to accept that as the truth of reality. I cant get with that
The easiest way to think about it is like this... look at your finger, if you push on your eye you will see in a double vision... does that mean there are two fingers in front of you or one? Its not till you stop confusing the brain signal you are left with the answer if you disregard all other senses... this is how open to misconception the brain is.
What if they are? It's not your reality. It's his.
All I'm asking you is, is it possible for you to accept the possibility that the things he is describing could be real?
It's an example of the brain viewing and experiencing something which is not physically true. And you asked me to not be so off hand and dismissive?
It's a point well made imo

No I got it. I'm not dismissing it or you. Not sure why you'd say that. I was just making a joke.
I trying to work out what you mean just now. I'll have a right good think about it.
Asking if something could be true or is true is not the same... the general view people hold is quantum physics says anything is possible in the material world. But that doesn't mean everything exists
I completely agree that the brain will often misinterpret data when outside stimuli (whether it's a finger in the eye or 3 fingers of rye) are introduced. This is proven to be a real phenomena and I doubt you'd find a single person on the planet who couldn't grasp that. If they don't accept it poke them in the eye and ask them again.
But that's not my issue with this...
It's also easy for the brain to misinterpret data when not enough outside stimuli (in the form of facts, ideas and informed opinions) are introduced. This is called being ignorant.
This is my issue in this case.
I cannot accept that you do not accept the possibility that what Shooman describes could possibly be real because there is no pyshical evidence that it is real. Especially when you do not know the subject and you cannot prove that what he describes is unreal.
Accept the possibility?
