That cord suit's been badly messed with, looks like someone had the jacket taken up but didn't readjust the pockets throwing the whole thing out of proportion and looking odd.
The whole jacket falls way too short I think.
It looks horrible. No doubt.
For the committed ivyist....

It doesn't ruin the jacket, though I can see why it isn't good.
I'd still wear it.
Are you talking about the photo that I just posted?
The jacket is completely ruined! You can't even raise the patch pockets on it because they'd sit right below the breast pocket if they were brought up any higher. It's a darted number so I didn't mourn too bad as it wasn't something I probably would've worn much, but any chance of passing it off on eBay or elsewhere is gone.
I meant the original cord suit pictured. I'd agree with you that it's been shortened but it's still at a wearable length I think. Perhaps not as a suit but as a separate jacket.
Sadly, yours has been shortened too too much. It definitely looks off in that second shot.
Sorry for your loss Oliver.
That's okay... if anyone wants to try and salvage it somehow, it's yours for the cost of shipping!
I think the original looks too short for me personally; perhaps worn without the trousers it'd be passable but I don't think I'd wear it.
You'll definitely find someone to buy that Oliver. It looks very 'current' with that botch job.
Flog it on Modculture or something. It's a nice bumfreezer now
I agree with Liam. Put that thing on ebay and someone will buy it. Heck, start the bidding at 9.99 without reserve and put in some witty, enticing copy. Put "vintage" and "Mad Men" in the listing and... SOLD!
It looks like either the tailor shouldn't have agreed to shorten that or he shortened it more than asked. Either way he should have used his better judgement. The button stance and breast pocket position on that look like it probably wasn't a candidate for shortening to begin with.
Slightly off topic, but yesterday, I went to look at one of my saved sellers in ebay, someone who I had previously purchased a ruck of Mosaic box sets from. To my surprise he was no longer operating and had the worse ebay score, having 26 cases of taking the money and running-off. Even good ebay sellers can turn bad.
Just picked up this yellow makers. Worth a punt for under £10

Man. That yellow looks neon. Maybe it's just my monitor. Also note marker inside collar.
