^ Oconnells are charging for $295 for NOS Madras now. I doubt I paid more than £5 from Flip. Hathaway and Arrow shirts were around £1.

That mention of Haspel pincord got me thinking along the same lines as JFM...
Keydge kind of came, became a topic of discussion, peaked, faded then became a more or less 'nostalgia' item as chaps got onto chore jackets and the like. All right, not invariably chore jackets but other Frenchified bits and pieces. The notion that Keydge did not produce a jacket and more or less got Graham Marsh's thumbs down over a bottle of vino and a cheese and pickle sandwich amused me greatly. Had, say, Kevin Rowland argued the case to the contrary JFM would have gone into a tail-spin all around Brick Lane.

I thought Graham Marsh was a big fan.
You used to see him wear them and he also mentioned them at the back of all his Ivy books including the latests one (black Ivy) even though they had long gone.
