I prefer Sugden to Naim - class A beats class AB amplifiers every time. Just add Harbeth speakers.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

In my mind this is exactly how FNB's uptown apartment looks.

Re: What Music Are You Listening to at the Moment...[AKA the Music thread]

ECM Records are very good "audiophile" (= iGent) quality. With the added bonus of mostly being good music as well. They have a few nerdy TEST CDs which are well worth the money too for buggerising around with speaker placement and room dampening and just learning to listen better.

I know you wont hold this against me Formby but Pink Floyd is good to see what a system/room can do.
Kraftwerk.
Steely Dan is always a pleasure to listen to on a good system - in fact isn't very interesting without one. AC/DC and Metallica to see how it handles rock. Ryuichi Sakamoto makes wonderful recordings and Beauty is a particular favourite of mine. Lou Reed takes care with this stuff and often rants about it.

Tom Waits takes some care.
For exquisite sound stage, depth, separation and challenging music you cant go past Scott Walker. Wonderful.

Re: What Music Are You Listening to at the Moment...[AKA the Music thread]

This thread is reminding me of the 1970s.

Hi fi shows at Heathrow.  Anoraks comparing different bits of kit. Linn, Pink Triangle, Quad, B&W, KEF. Continuous 'upgrading'...

I think Hi fi exhibitions still take place but they are not the big draw that they once were. Subsumed into Home Entertainment.
