The great news is that Stefano Bemer's workshop will continue to make high quality shoes as they always have. His brother will now run the operation and will continue to make shoos with his highly trained staff. Word is that his brother and three of his staff have been doing much of the work for the last 20 years. Stefano Bemer had severe diabetes and had to inject himself three to four times a day and died of a heart attack from complications of diabetes.

The ltalian government must be such a bunch of nubs. The law is that Bemer's brother had to sell his business and machinery and then buy it all back again. When an owner stops business or dies, that is what is required by law according to my source.
