The Bishop's Finger

Anyone miss the Bishop's finger?

I came up to see her sometimes.

Re: The Bishop's Finger

The Smithfield pub?

The beer?

The Bishop of Briggs?

What happened to Bish?

Re: The Bishop's Finger

Yes. Particularly for Kingston residents as Bish always had notes about local shops, pubs and restaurants.

All started on the false belief that Talk Ivy was being trolled and it snowballed from there.

Nothing wrong with the chap but he got himself caught in a loop. He only had one rant to offer towards the end. You need a few more to keep going if you want to be a ranter. IMHO.

^ A contrarian approach is how I would put it.

Ivy should be strong enough to withstand that. No ?

I think he called it as he saw it with Talk Ivy. The obsession with labels, details and in some cases, tat that posters heaped excitement on. Iconoclasm to the max. Wether it would have gone on for so long if Jim hadn't tipped fuel on the fire all the time is anyones guess.

I would vote to invite him back, as I respected him and quite liked him too, as I do Jim, despite me being the main instigator in wanting him banished to the cooler for 30 days for crimes of manipulation outside of the authority of the ring master and against the all inclusiveness of Talk Ivy and all of that.

Unless someone goes off into realms of madness and are cearly damaging their mental health and credibility in the real world - and there have been cases of this - then I would hope that any bannings should be temporary. But then again, this is not a democracy.

Re: The Bishop's Finger

I like most people, come to think of it... There are few opinions out there that could get me worked up. I simply don't care that much. But I do like a fuss. I like anything I can cash in on.

He took a few whacks at me, but I still liked him.  Much like GW and FXH.  But what can I say... I'm an easy target.

I say bring him back & see what he does.

If he compulsively mentions me then it's one for the mods.

I know I helped him to get obsessed, but it was his choice to get obsessed.

How would your 'Iconoclast' look under real moderation ?

Probably how I saw him ?

It could be a fun experiment...

Re: The Bishop's Finger

The Bishop is taking the cure because he abused my moderators and accused them of whatever sinister behavior and dastardly conspiracies.

In future, anyone who deigns to abuse my mods or tries to embarrass them into a public answer will also take the cure.
