Re: Morning coat

Will's coat seems to have a (GASP!) machine-padded collar.

For the Internet Gentlemen's sake, Darren, what better thread than this for you to put to rest the eternal debate regarding the relative merits of machine vs. hand-padded collars? The world is watching anxiously.

Re: Morning coat

An interesting occurence. If that's true, then that sheds a certain light on AAAC. However, a closed Andy account doesn't necessarily mean that orders can't be fulfilled--emails and phone numbers also work.

Re: Morning coat

I once wrote to Andy saying, I don't think ALEX is not good for him or AAAC. Andy wrote back saying "Alex makes me look good".

Re: Morning coat

It wouldn't surprise me if Andy asked you for $5000K, just like it wouldn't surprise me if it were true, as I believe you claimed a few years ago, that Alden at LL asked for a free suit.

It'd be interesting to hear your side of the story about Will's suit, and the others who've claimed that they've been ripped off by you.

How about starting by posting the e-mail of old Andy asking for $5K.

Weren't you the one who registered Sartorial Excellence to begin with?  Or was that Chuck?

Re: Morning coat

This is like a bizzaro world thread.

Shooman: Darren has no skills to do bespoke, people should have done their homework rather than simply use him due to AAAC  (I agree 100% on this point), Darren clearly lacked the experience to make a great bespoke suit, his work history prooves that.  Good luck Darren!

Darren: Thanks Shooman (Huh???????), hopefully one day the truth will come out (double huh????????????)

Shooman: go for it Darren!

Is there an FNB approved hallucinogen that needs to be taken before reading certain threads?

Also, "whther they got their money back from their credit cards which would be a part of full disclosure" while you are correct here and I am sure they got their money back from their CC companies, I fail to see how this would change the alleged non delivery or delivery of unfinished goods by Mr. Beaman.  As for your other questions, I do believe that a merchant posts pics of his finished goods as an advertisement, I don't believe that simply because he posts here means the FNB.com endorses him as a tailor, I also believe that a lot of people are suffering from hypocrisy given the frequent bashes at AK about his phantom clients. Imagine the field day people would have if only 1 person came forward and said, I paid $8000 to AK for shirts and all I got was an unfinished shirt.

Re: Morning coat

Now that Darren wants to play on the Internet again he's fair game and I'll probably do an essay about my experience. He did cut a nice coat for RJMan and several others or I'd never have tried him.

For the record, I spent many months trying to get a couple of 98% completed and paid for suits from him as I couldn't believe that a tailor whose customers would have provided him a good living for the rest of his working life would actually rip off a paying customer. American Express would not do a chargeback given the time that had passed.
