...his son was similar by all accounts, all though nowhere near as talented a writer as pops.

I read something about her quite recently, but I cant remember who by.

When he said 'quite mad' I think he meant it in that English way.

Just remebered now. It was in a piece that the late Christopher Hitchins wrote for Vanity Fair on the subject of English eccentrics. I posted it a while back but can't find it.
