Re: A Pox On Youth Subcultures !

Incidentally, since the 70s there have been various youth subcultures who have attempted to disregard conemporary fashion to replicate that of previous decades. Afaik that had never happened before. This phenomenon still exists, and it's not all confined to ageing saddos in parkas or ted suits. I occasionally go to swing nights, where many people (both sexes) dress retro. Most look like a pastiche but some look great (my subjective responses, of course), and they have little or no regard for fashion.

I'll leave fashion for the Ivy Style crowd.

Yes I did but for some reason I couldn't log in with that account...hence this one. I have never trolled myself.

As far as I'm bothered he's a horrid, spineless little shit whos got some serious issues going on. If he was a dog he'd be put down.

I am interested in when this lovely gift was given to you.
Before you answer i know how long your supposed IP has been associated with the RS account.
Go on answer if you dare?

Re: A Pox On Youth Subcultures !

At least i said i was living in Germany.

I cannot remember talking about the way i made my bread and if i did i don't think i said anything about academia.

However, I have nothing against academics per se. I just hate the way that post-modernist "thinking" has corrupted the university. The "death of the subject" a la Foucault, Derrida et al is the enemy of reason and critical thought. I cannot give up universalism and the universal emancipatory ideals of enlightenment. Cultural relativism a la Fanon, Said and Butler is treason to these ideals. Individual rights of freedom are more important than the "cultural values" of the "oppressed peoples". There is no apology for reactionary thinking.

Re: A Pox On Youth Subcultures !

Giving Hank the RS name was purely to help Jim disassociate himself from the bad rep he acquired due to his dedicated online foolishness over many years. But he will not admit this. By discarding his own (reputable) name, Hank helped Jim to prolong his foolishness.
