I think the Patek is the finest watch made and the 5004 is a great watch .
I love watches. I have a Panerai 40mm that I wear on a daily basis, it is casual enough to go with jeans and a T-shirt but dressy enough for anything other than a suit. For dressy occasions an FP Journe Octa is my current fave. Mr. Picasso you are correct the Patek is a superb watch and I they are in my top three of all time with Lange, FP Journe and Patek.
It was fine watches that got me interested in fine clothes actually. TimeZone.com is a great site with good watch discussion.
I have 5 but its not something I spend money on. Only one cost more than $20aud
I see that Nomos was mentioned quite a bit earlier in the thread, and I too flirted with this watch maker, until it dawned on me, they were dead boring.
And I notice several jewellers that were selling them in the Hague have not replenished their stocks, me thinks they have reached the same conclusion.
The watches I wear: Donald Duck watch for the late 1930s to 50s, stainless steel Seiko with metal wrist ban which was the watch the Singapore commandos wore in the early 1990s, a gold Seiko with gold wrist band when I show off bling or a special occasion and finally a G-Shock which is presently retired.
ernest are you a troll from another board? you are either mentally challenged or else have no taste .. or possibly both.
fucking moron.
Watch forums are interesting, on account that everyone who posts photos of themselves sporting their splendid oversized and chunky watches, have the most slender, dantiest wrists this side of Audrey Hepburn.

^The critical aspect there is 35mm, which by today's super king sized watches, is a ladies size.
Those of you into Eddie Platts Timefactors watches may be interested in the new Dreadnought, available as of next Saturday:
