I hereby give Goodyear Welt total access to any of my previous pictures to use here. Seriously.

I googled 'refugee from Dresden 1945' and that FL lady was the top image result.
So there we have it- Mr. Doyle is correct in his assessment.

Some people barely feel the cold. And some people live in climates where it rarely gets cold. Personally I live in the UK and I detest being cold. Being an adolescent in the 80s, I never considered wearing a hat, as they were considered infra dig in the working class areas I grew up in. When I did begin to wear hats as an adult, I suddenly became a lot warmer, and I've never looked back.
I also greatly appreciate the aesthetic appeal of hats. Many classic hats may well be unfashionable, however if the purpose of the thread is to down people for being unfashionable, then I suggest every photo on Talk Ivy should be shared.
At present I wear flat caps and wooly hats, and my next purchase is going to be a fedora (probably from the wonderful Bates of Jermyn St). Anachronistic? Yes, however when I see the crap men wear that is fashionable, I really don't care if I'm out of date.
I'm not sure anyone is talking about how pretty she is, but rather the clothes she's wearing, which are admittedly pretty oversize.
As for the hat thing, I could care less about the style, I'm only talking about utility. Wearing a hat for warmth kicks in around the freezing mark for most people, so either you get cold extremely easy or you are bald.
