"Son Of Ivy" -

- This name actually comes from Mr. Paul Simons (Son of The Guv'nor) who would once check in here to read every so often and once mused to THE OLD MAN that he should pop up as 'Son Of Ivy' to present a certain realistic point of view...

Well... Jimi advised maybe not. Telling him that all he'd get would be a bunch of online gimps moaning about the price of Stetson caps in West End Shops...

So I pinched the monica...

- So I'm not the Old Fella and don't share most of his prissy little beliefs (With respect) in the sanctity of what to me is just a load of American RTW from various factories.

Move on from that point.

Dare ya.

Hands up all those who think Taylor is not Jim.

And don't all rush at once.

One of my favourite bands.

I've probably already mentioned that I once spent an afternoon hanging out with them (in Hull, of all places).

Darlings... Taylor was more 'Jim' than any others of the team that wrote 'Jim'.

You want 'Jim' ?  He's in an armchair just across from me. He lacks any interest in you.  His bad.

But I think you all grate.

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

Have you ever read the emails people have posted up from Jim? There are some lurking round the net.. about how people should be on message. Thank fuck for people like Stan saving this forum from Jim, probably the saddest fuckwit ever to sit in front of a keyboard, maybe his little side-kick Hank too, who seemed to like the odd advising PM. Both of you are pathetic fuck wits

The real story should be left to those that lived it.... what the fuck can Jim tell Stan? He cant even begin to.. Who wants an odd bod who got shunned by his Jewish homosexual friends many years ago.. apparently they laughed at you then as they do now.. but then you know you business.

All the bloody best

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

Because apparently they thought little Jimmy was a joke... why do you think Jimmy adopted all this camp Jewish lark.. he was trying to walk the walk of the people he thought were cool..they just saw him as a joke..

Talk Ivy was Jims party line on Ivy... it took people like Stan, who quite unknowingly took to task dismantling all the bullshit Jim and co had built up surrounding Ivy. For me that was a coup.

I can understand why Jim and Hank might what to have protected their forum identity fair enough but to act like a pair of shits to do so is a reflection on how pathetic they are. That's my problem with it, all the shit stirring.. all the PMs.. best place for Jims keyboard is up his arse seeming as though that's where he communicates from.

Ps. Jews and gay people are quite prevalent in my life and the slur is not on them, just Jim trying to copy them so he looked cool. He didn't btw..he just comes over as an odd bod.

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

I do love this place, and I have learned a lot about Ivy here, and every so often there's something I remember and can contribute about the clothes of the good old Late Ivy/Low-Key Prep days.  Whenever I can I try to say something nice about J. Press and The Andover Shop, and O'Connell's too.

Of course any time somebody writes something nice about me I appreciate it, so thank you kindly ... but old Jimbo is one of the main reasons I got here in the first place and for better or worse he always encouraged me to post, and he's been cool with me over the years.  Really good eye for Ivy even if he prefers to dress casually himself.  Give him credit for all he's done for Talk Ivy, for picking good moderators, for all his good posts and threads he's started, and if he's gone on too much about this or that in the past let's forget it and I for one hope to see him post more good stuff here.  And I think Taylor's posting good stuff too.  The place is much more fun when I get the feeling that we're all reasonably friendly with each other.  I probably would not have gotten involved here if it hadn't been for Jimmy's efforts.  I have never tried to debunk anything, just to support the old-school clothes I like.  To mix with whatever I like.

It doesn't really matter how or why you like the clothes, who got you interested in these clothes. how long you've been wearing them, or where you wear them.  The only thing that matters is that the clothes be made (in the USA if possible) and that they're sold , and that sales are good and that they continue to be made.  Wear them or not,  keep buying the clothes so that they continue to be available.  Make it clear to the shops that you want things that are made in the USA and Great Britain.  But I like anything good whether it's from the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Australia, Ireland, Peru, Austria, or elsewhere.  I like vintage clothes but I prefer to buy new when I can because it's good to have manufacturing in the economy.

Hey Stan, I only use you as an example I don't mean to draw you in to it. I can only really suggest that people use their own discretion when it comes to old Jim.

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

Good morning dear Bop,

My friend, how do I deserve getting mentioned here (Hank) in a most amicable way (fuckwit)? You talk about getting pms by me, and I do remember having written to you once or twice but I cannot remember that you answered, despite my pms being friendly, polite and send with the best intentions.

Why is it that you talk about me in this way over here and you're not able to answer a personal message?

I have no reason and no intention to engage in any forum fighting. I do use an account that was once used by another member, and as far as I know has only been used by me ever since I got it from the evil shmevil bogeyman J.I.M.

That does not mean that I share his views on this or that. But whenever I think he's right I think I can agree with him, just like I disagree whenever I think he's wrong. Same with everybody's posts including yours, Bop.

I am no one's sidekick.

I am not interested in personal attacks.

Have a nice day!

All the best,

Hank Russelstraße

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

I'd buy one !

A follow up could be a gang of homosexual Jews laughing at Bop while Jim stands there filing his nails ?

I love this celebration of laughter that we're all suddenly having.  Why, it's a Christmas miracle !    wink

God Bless Us, back and front.

And Jim's self importance and complete lack of self awareness come blazing though again. God this shit gets old.

But I do agree.

There is no Jim. It's all made up. This has been said before.

Trust me, I'm real. Why, you even know my name....

Merry Christmas !
