Chens's Pipe

If the pipe doesn't shift the constipation, I run the serious risk - and I mean SERIOUS RISK - of being hoist by my own petard! -

Boom! Boom!

And thou be my Columbine fair,
My wand should, with one magic whisk,
Transport us to Hanover Square."                       The Knut with a 'K'.

Re: Chens's Pipe

Ladies and gentlemen! I give you - the egregious, the tendentious, the effing ineffable -

THE Grand Old Man of The I-Gentry: Christian Winston Chensvold-Churchill, spirit-son of the Hon. Pamela Harriman-Churchill and Grizzly Adams (now - there's THE Ivy Leaguer non plus ultra); born in mid-Atlantic on the QEII one minute before midnight on Friday 13 May 1960; destined for Yale but ended up at Princeton Polytechnic; intended for Muffy but has to make do with the occasional $20 beaver and now the biggest online outlet for sales of J Press seconds and, like his goods -

'Never Knowingly Undersold'.

Briefly interviewed via I-pad, en route to a Highland Fling flung at the Tuxedo Park Club by his intellectual soul-mate George W Bush, Mr Chensvold-Churchill had this to say to Hamstrung Press reporter Jack Ruby:

''The decadic, cyclical East Coast popularity of madras for summertime, since 1934, cannot be under-estimated and urgency is advised to buy up my latest stock of this in shorts, short-sleeved shirts and matching pocket squares and neckerchiefs in time for June 2014.''

There's a certain Basil Rathbone quality in that visage, or something fiendish and cunning......quick Robin, to the bat cave!

Norwegians sometimes do share that sinister frigidness you see on our upper classes

Re: Chens's Pipe

No his grandmother was, she was from Stavanger. It could all be so different now, Chenners could be a rufty-tufty oil worker on €85+ an hour, but tempered by €20 for a 500ml "pint".

In all seriousness, has anyone ever smoked a pipe?

Re: Chens's Pipe

I smoke a pipe from time to time. By the look of things, Chens uses his to strike a pose - the baccy does not look alight and there is no smoke. The pipe also looks brand new. No surprise with any of that, of course. After all, sparks might mark the cordovans.
