Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

As Mr. Archair knows as a Mod here, I'm not in fact The Old Bugger, we just share a spare laptop in the Giant vibrator along with the rest of the family. T.O.B. was always supportive of the new Mods and so am I - I've even said this via PM to Mr. Armchair.

The new mods were contrived by creating a situation on the forum. The best people then came forward and volunteered & were taken on by FNB. The tragedy that we lost Liam will always be with us because it was Liam who really spearheaded the call to take over the forum when its moderators walked out (First Jim, handing over to me, then me from lack of interest in doing the job). FNB's final thank you to Jim cited me also as he said there was no coup. Just people moving on.

Those with memories will remember that Jim tried this before and failed. Years ago he tried to get 1966 and Alex Roest (The Dutch Contingent) to run the place as they had such strong feelings about the forum. It failed because they were given the option of saying no, which they did. The second attempt at doing a handover worked because the forum was left (for only two days max?) apparently rudderless. People felt they had no choice but to move in. Job done.

My lot are various things, but we aren't administrators, never have been. We make thins happen, but there our abilities end. If anything we just get bored at that point. It's a family trait.

Today you have a strong, well-established forum with very able moderators and members who care about the place far more than ever before. You've never had it so good !

Enjoy what has been created rather than enjoying revisiting the way in which it was created. Eggs are always the first casualty of war when omelettes are being made !  wink

Dig in !

Im amazed you cant draw the parallel between social media and how to conduct yourself socially. Like I said Jim the internet changed and your habits are about 10 years out of date..to be honest most people would still think you a twat back then if they knew the extent of your twatishness

He doesn't understand Bop. You may as well be talking to the wall, actually, the wall has a good sight more self awareness.

I think he fully understands,  he is one of those unfortunates that actually gain pleasure in it. Which why I think the term odd bod is a pretty good description for him.

Re: "Son Of Ivy" -

I disagree. But maybe it's just what we consider "understanding". He certainly gets pleasure from it, but that comes from a lack of understanding of what healthy human social interaction is, and a total lack of awareness of his intelligence and importance in the world. He has no idea he just doesn't matter.

Is it Jim or Tayls or a team of veteran bluffers ,who knows, who cares? does it really matter?

The pleasing thing for me is the debate is being had over here and is not polluting the two boards.

Free at last, free at last, thank god almighty we are free at last.
