Help with research on jacket fastenings

I am doing research on American's reactions to jacket fastenings (1,2 or 3 button single breasted or double breasted jackets) in the work place.

Also interested in reactions to details like peak lapels, patch pockets, angled or hacking pockets on jackets and side vents, tunnel belt loops, daks style buttoning side straps, side adjusters, pleats on pants.

I am not necessarily as interested in everyone's opinion as a clothes enthusiast as I am their opinions of the effect of these details in a given city, profession etc...

I am interested in everyone's opinions as to their reactions and/or their thoughts on how other people react (coworkers and those with seniority) in different professions and cities. Anyone can give me they considered opinion about the matter and I would appreciate it. People from places other than the USA can ceretainly participate because I plan to use some cultural contrasts.

Re: Help with research on jacket fastenings

Wow... that's going to take some whittling, FNB. I would be interested in reading the end product. But, I'm afraid I can't offer much other than trend reports and market feedback about the "now" of fashion.

Please let me know if you need some historical research. I may have enough information in the personal library to answer at least a portion of the questions raised.
