New Moderators

The site has added WoofBoxer, Worried Man and Bop as moderators on the site. They are here to help out and keep the peace. They are familiar posters and know the mood and flow of the forums.

Thus, we now have 5 moderators:

Armchaired and fxh are more senior and our newest three moderators mentioned above.

Re: New Moderators

FWIW, no matter how moderated or free the forum is, what counts at the end of the day is if the posts that do make it are interesting.
I am simply totally indifferent to the spats and fits that precede whichever posts make it. Unless of course the time someone put up pictures of my workplace, then I was happy about the moderator's assistance in deleting the post.

Re: New Moderators

Early studies are leading us to believe every 1 and a quarter person out of 50 may very well be a moderator on FNB. Hope that helps Sammy.

Re: New Moderators

Congrats, Woof, WM, and Bop! Jim made me a moderator shortly after joining, but I was stripped of the title very quickly. I still have my tin badge, though. Wear yours in good health!

Re: New Moderators

It is amazing that the peace needs so much keeping - but one thing that the modern world surely does better than any earlier age is to regulate people.

Spam is the far bigger issue.  Just trying to keep the place clean for everyone.

Re: New Moderators

You wouldnt believe the nonsense behind the scenes I had to take down quite a prolific spambot the other morning. It hit about ten times in a row as soon as I took a thread down it was back up again. These are the challenges we face daily. You might think you can begin to empathise but you weren't there man.....you weren't there.

Bop.  I have a dry shoulder for your tears.  Meet me in the admin area in 10 minutes.  I'll bring some chamomile tea and some Joni Mitchell records.

Re: New Moderators

What do spammers expect us to buy from them?

Do you ever get Crompie trying to PR SR? Chittlebuggah and Organ and so on?

Re: New Moderators

Once one uber active username could do all of this with a fine team of bastards behind him...

Now we have five isolated chaps for the same effect.

Fair enough.

Re: New Moderators

Why do we have no Wardrobe members as Moderators ?

Are they not mental enough ?

(Fair question - Not need to delete it.)

Jim.
