Dead on 8". And the prewashed I tried have a noticeably shorter rise. Not that they're unacceptable by any stretch...
WM
How much woud you say the legs have shrank on your Wanglers?
^^
Congrats! The 67's are already pre shrunk but the 54's ade shrink to fit.

What size are you again?
32/32
Damn, I knew you were close to my size, but 32 on a non shrinking denim would be too big for me. If you decide to ditch the '54s, I may be interested. They might work with some serious shrinkydinkin'.
I found that any denim will shrink if you are handy with a washer/dryer. Preshrunk just about half as much as non shrunk!

It's like with T-shirts. They don't shrink quickly or enough to be obvious, but then after washing and drying them over the course of a year you think "Dang, these T-shirts sure are small."
Picked up a pair of used 54's recently. They seem to shrink two full sizes & are a bit tight in the thighs. Otherwise, they're straight from the fridge
Yikes!
I find some cotton shrinks all of a sudden. Like it will go for a year or so of regular washes then one day its shrunk down a whole size. I've never read anything describing it - but its definite phenomena I've observed - anyone one else?
