On a stag weekend to Magaluf with the chaps from the Rugby club, a pith was brought along which was given to the first person who was sick. This person had to wear the pith until the next person threw up. When the stag got married everyone from the club bought the couple an iron as a wedding present. They must have had 30 irons. I kinda miss those Rugby days, sometimes.

Anyone still got the pictures of that kid who used to wear pith helmets?

Truely...who the f**k wear a pith helmet on their head??? Actually, who wears a helmet of any type outside of uniforms???

Never worn a helmet in my life and NEVER bloody will.

I think Fxh has a few helmets at home. No shit.

What funny irony.  I get it.

will this venetian loafer, barbour, bearded fellow be mad at us too? None of what he wears is bad Per se, but just a bit of rain will ruin his loafers for sure

i think wearing a barbour a size too small is supposed to indicate to the public that your not the farming/shooting/country activity barbour wearing type but more a hip (ster) cool retro aristo channelling trendy who is too cool for school.

the devil's own fashion site confirms this fact with the following search results for 'barbour'...

I don't get a lot of people - even "normal" ones who aren't into clothes. Yesterday in the am it was around 15C. I had jeans, DBs, white T shirt under a light flannel checked shirt plus a heavy field jacket - zipped up. Went to supermarket etc and there were guys there in shorts, t shirt and thongs - 'cos its summer - I guess. I often see blokes down the street here in winter with beanie, rugged up on top with heavy warm jacket and shorts down below!

Sadly my 20 year old bedale Barbour is now a little too small on me... Will have to buy a new one someday... Even though its small I can bear to part with it...

Re: Inane Overdrive-Brave New World Edition, 2013 and Beyond

Just starting, but expect further hilarity from this thread which asks if you've ever been 'hassled' for dressing in a whacko manner.  A couple replies thus far have veiled to overt references to the ass-kicking that the insulted fops may lay out.

Apparently the igent even needs a set of rules for scouring the local thrift store.  Wondering if anyone else is this deranged, most miss the point and offer their advice and tales of woe or germaphobia.

You can't go wrong with a title like "Trends That Need to Die!"  It starts off riling against the suit without tie, but  soon a new breed of igents learn that Thom Browne is ridiculous, Crocs are discussed, a not-so-rare diversion into people bemoaning the awful places they live...  The eternal Howard seems to be alive and well and clueless and as ever.
