Favourite weather forecaster

BBC article lists some of the key players for those in the UK (a conversation topic with your mother?).
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25665340

Ian McAskill was good for a laugh.

Of the females, Isobel Lang was top notch. Sian Llyod was excessively smarmy and associated with that chancer politician Lembit Opik.

Brit female presenters are usually 'nice' - as opposed to American-style, blonde glamour pusses.

Badly fitting suits are more noticeable today on male presenters today. No more newsreaders in dinner jackets, though the man reading shipping forecast still sounds as if he is wearing one.

I used to like Rob Gel because he was properly qualified. Now they try sexing up the weather with useless airhead women who know nothing about the weather....all they can do is read a screen like a robot....they all suck eggs and should be sacked.

Rob used to dress well, but in later years he wore sloppy sportscoats with no tie and it looked shithouse.

The computer generated voices on KWO-35, NOAA, New York. I especially love listening to the coastal waters report:

This is the coastal waters forecast from Sandy Hook, New Jersey to Fire Island Inlet, New York out 20 nautical miles...for tonight SE winds 10 knots, seas 3 to 5 feet...the Marine forecast for New York Harbor including Raritan Bay...Here is the tide information...

Ahhhh, so relaxing.

Re: Favourite weather forecaster

hmm she sometimes does the news local London news as well as just weather though .. so gets some brainy points here.

also, on a cold rainy night in Britain .. would you not prefer a cuddly wendy to one of those stick thin women? in Neanderthal times a woman like her would be what you went for .. she'd survive the winters with all that puppy fat.
