I've had a few Nettleton's slip through my fingers. One day luck will be on my side!!
I'll say this, when my cobbler worked on my Imperials, he wouldn't shut up about them. He just kept raving.
Sounds like you're bringing him around. You'd think someone in his profession would just already be into shoes and not need to be coaxed into appreciating the object of his craft.
Not that it helps you guys too much, but there are some places in the US that do full v cleat resoles. Price of shipping back and forth would probably make it impractical.
O...M...F...G. You have the best shoo collection l have ever seen. I can't believe the gems you cum up with, they make my head spin. You have brought the thread to another level with Florsheim porn that wil NEVER be matched. How can anyone compete with that. You my dear friend are a complete and utter LEGEND!!!
Everyone else = little boys of the Florsheim world.
Isshy = the tower and superpower strength of the Florsheim world. THE KING!!!
My goodness...sometimes l wish l was you mate. I'd almost kill to be to get those masterpieces. You blow my mind.
NEVER stop posting those shoos Isshy. NEVER stop blowing my mind mate. Keep on doing it and doing it and doing it. NEVER STOP!!!
DAO - Topy is the solution.
Issh, do you buy mainly to collect, wear, or sell, or all of the above? Stellar shoes. Your website is great.
I think Isshy needs to change his username to THE KING.
Always a pleasure to see Ishy's shoes.
I have never seen shoes of this caliber either in the flesh or virtually. Form and function perfectly expressed.
I note that most pairs are grained leather. Is this a product of the curing of the hides, or a cosmetic stamping post tanning?
Shooman, Many Thanks, as always! Glad a fellow Shoe Addict loves 'em as much as I do!
Worried Man, pleasure to meet you. Yes, I collect, but ALWAYS wear them. No trophy shoes for me. Have to get at least 1 wear per year tyo stay in my closet. I also buy whatever I really enjoy, regardless of size, in order to get the opportunity to handle the shoes myself. Therefore, I am always selling shoes that do not fit me.
Sammy, interesting question about the leather. Usually, grained leather is corrected grain garbage that is stamped to hide the imperfections. However, the grain I find from Florsheim (at least in the 1950's and earlier) seems a much higher grade. It is soft and not plasticky at all. It is, however, ultra stuff leather and great for bad weather. It may well be cured and stamped, but cannot be sure.
