Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

Hey .. give me a break! I actually only really started speaking English in my teens (& even then before I worked in London I didn't speak often at all)! I sometimes get some words mixed up .. especially if not using them often! What are you the English spelling police Sammy? It's not important .. especially when I am shining the light of truth upon the crooks in this clothing blogging business. Everyone else is happy to believe all the horse shit fed to them in shops etc .. don't tell me its bullshit cause I meant that .. English as first language or NOT!

Wonder where he got his ill gotten gains in the first place? He talks of staying at various fancy hotels .. what did he do in his younger (but no doubt a young fogey) days?

Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

Actually, I'm Swiss, but I was born and raised in East Africa. I came to the UK to study A Levels many years ago. It may seem odd to you but I have picked up turns of phrase, idioms as you say which I use rather too frequently and so on while still getting muddled with certain words which are outside  my regular day to day vocabulary.

My issue is simply that he is peddling half truths not only about his own life, but also about various products in order to reap commercial reward. You only need to look at what is being discussed on the Russian Leather thread running concurrently to this one to find a good example, he for instance has published several articles on his blog advising readers of its fantastic quality, which I find laughable. Therefore, to my mind he is not a 'nice sort of chappie' as you put it, but rather a cynical, greedy snake oil salesman who peddles luxury mens accessories. I cant understand why you feel so defensive about him? Perhaps you are a customer of Wills and you find it difficult to accept that you have been so very .. credulous?

Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

Wait, it'd be writer wouldn't it, don't you become an author after you get published?

Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

Well, you did say "failed author", so I think that's correct.

Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

No I think failed author would be if you were published and the book flopped. Like the fictious Alan Partridge whose book Bouncing Back went on to be pulped after poor sales.

Well, I have to say at least the dialogue has improved in this thread.

Re: The crazy world of Will Boehlke

Anyway, who's Will Boehlke?  And why is his surname missing a fourth vowel?

I once spoke perfect, meticulous English.  Then I started drinking heavily and smoking copious amounts of marijuana. And the seemingly permanent LSD drip in my spine makes all voice simultaneously active AND passive, all tense past AND present.

I sometimes see the color wheel while eating certain foods or hearing certain songs.  I still want my damn business man's noose though!  Bop, that's my shipping fee buddy.
