It would if you lived in Russia. Don't worry though I'm sure our respective governments are exploiting us in some other way.

Re: Putin and friends on the make

Wasn't Putin a KGB schmo, cracking down on the people with communist oppression, before Glasnost and Perestroika, and before the silly buggers voted him into government and opened the way to untold corruption for him and his cronies? But they say that people get the governments they deserve...He looks an 'orrible little man - but then look at most politicos - the sly, thieving, bent,  beaded-eyed takers.

Re: Putin and friends on the make

Remember, Putin is the one who stopped us from carpet bombing Syria, installing an Al-Queda regime and ensuring genocide of the Christians there and all other minorities. From that perspective, I respect him. I also think he might be a good guy, comparatively speaking of course, on account of the desperate media newspeak and propaganda we are being force-fed trying to reinstate the cold war.

Who exactly is it leading us again.....? Enough said!

Re: Putin and friends on the make

The last thing Putin wants are jihadists on his door step. In conspiracy circles a lot of people hint at the use of Islamic militants under western control destabilising Chechnya and Russia further. Bit like we did in Libya and are trying to do in Syria. In fact there was a good piece in an oil industry magazine I'll have to find the article
