Hey! I have four versions of LL Bean boots. Five, if you count the discontinued snow boot with the mini-gaiter.
Serious duck hunters wear waders, this is true. Even dilettante duck hunters wear waders.
I tried duck for the first time a couple years ago. You can have it. At least with trout fishing there's the option of releasing the fish.
So these things are called both buck boots and the Maine Hunting Shoe, but are never used to hunt duck? I am so confused.
I think they are for hunting deer or anything else in the winter. But duck hunting involves ponds and water. In Looney Tunes cartoons, which I regard as definitive, Elmer Fudd et. al. are depicted hunting in row boats.
Maybe I'l break it all down in a Talk Ivy thread
/\ and apparently are worn by fashionable Japanese Saturated Preppies when hunting the rare selvage
^ The most glorious hunt of all I'm told.
/\ my bad, the old "wearing the entire OPH at once" Japanese preppy guy Woolster posted elsewhere was wearing blucher mocs, not Bean boots, I just remembered .....
I do like Maine Hunting Shoes though even if all I hunt in them are vintage Brooks shirts on Etsy and eBay ......

Haha, right!
Nothing wrong with duck boots. Good for toting firewood and such.
That green jacket has perhaps the worst lapel and collar float that I have ever seen. The man in the bow tie totally misunderstood the idea of tie width matching lapel width.
I never go to these "fashion" parties.... too busy actually working.

/\ thanks for the laughs Popeye Doyle!
I don't think the green guy looks so bad. I actually love the trousers.
Bow tie guy fails though. Just looks like a clown. No chance even at irony. The clownishness is just too literal.
Wow.
I view it like an evolutionary process. Risks are taken. Mistakes are made. Some traits die out and some individuals fail, but occasionally a mutation gets through and proves beneficial.
Bow tie guy dies off without reproducing; of that we can be sure.
From the hat place:-

At least he has a definite idea on the other clothes that go with it. Today I decided to go with a black theme in my wardrobe.
Question of whether or not to remove hat inside spans several pages of philosophical questions interspersed with declarative assertions.
