Re: Wallabees

See, that's exactly the hairdo I expect to see on a Wallabee wearer.

Re: Wallabees

Quite like these mocs from padmore and barnes- http://www.padmore-barnes.com/M387R-MH-Padmore-and-Barnes-Willow-Lite-Chestnut-Leather.html

as I think was mentioned they also do the original and possibly superior Wallabee. Shame there's no desert boot from them?

Re: Wallabees

I don't think the new Padmore & Barnes are superior as they have nothing to do with the original Padmore & Barnes fabrication in Ireland... Made in Portugal, the China of Europe (nothing wrong with that though)... As far as I know. Btw, the Vietnamese Clarks Dessies are pretty good in the meantime. I don't see any difference to the old ones anymore...

Re: Wallabees

I really don't remember where I read that, could be misinformation though?

Fact is, that "made in wherever in Europe" doesn't say that the labor conditions are good. At least in Portugal they are better than in Italy. In China conditions generally increased over the last 15 years. Don't know how it is in Vietnam though... A long and winding road...

There's a whole heap of new Clarks stuff going online soon, grain leather Wallabies looking very good.

Re: Wallabees

Resurrecting this 5-year-old thread to ask, what happens when Wallabees soles die? The shoes just go in the trash? Is it possible to get new, non-crepe soles put on, like camp soles?

Maybe Ox knows...?
