^ do you mean 'transgenic foods' or 'genetically modified foods' when you refer to GM ?
genetically modified foods
So you'll not be eating
kale,
carrots,
potatoes,
broccoli,
suede,
lentils,
peas (Gregor Mendel used them as his model for investigation),
In fact pretty much any vegetable grown for human consumption.
I think (and hope) you mean transgenically modified foods, otherwise your statement is just empty rhetoric of inexact language and a mis-representation of basic scientific facts.

I use the language used in mainstream science journals, ie, Genetically Modified Foods. When l talk about lentils etc l talk about hybridised food, again the common language used in mainstream science journals. Whether mine and the language of the scientists in countless publications is wrong, l don't know, maybe you know better than we all do regarding this. When l use the terms `hybridised' or `GM foods', people usually know what l am talking about.
^ it's not common language in science journals,
it's common language amongst journalists/activists with little or no science background who don't know the difference between transgenic or cisgenic modification.
If you want to set yourself up as a pseudo-science expert you need a bit more science knowledge under your belt first.
I make no claim to 'knowing better', but I'm not blinded by irrational beliefs and remain a true skeptic to any such claims.
Acton, the examples of plants you quote are mutagenic i.e. evolutionary modifications (even though externally accelerated or directed) these are considered as 'natural' or 'conventional' breeding. Transgenic or cisgenic modifications require artificial transfer of genetic material and these highly targeted insertion processes were not succesfully undertaken until the 1980's.

^ i get that AH,
but my point comes from the fact I'm fed up (sic) with the inexact language and generalisations of the anti-GM movement, it does them no favours and makes talking about it sensibly almost impossible.
It's use of words like 'natural' and 'organic' that feeds into these ideas, they mean very different things to different people and the whole mis-trust of authority and cherry picking of data from scientific papers (while in many cases ignoring the actual conclusions of the paper) to add credence to pseudo-scientific ideas.
To paraphrase Ben Goldacre...
'Big Pharma' and 'Big Agri' may be a bit crap but that doesn't prove that your 'magic beans' work.
Fair point Acton. However, the business model of (as example) Monsanto is highly illustrative of why even the misinformed layman would have valid reasons to mistrust the GM producers. This said, I don't fancy Shooeys dietary recommendations either.
^ well put AH,
I too have my doubts about the 'trans-genic' agri-business models of the likes of Monsanto,
but as a confirmed skeptic the blanket dismissal of genuine progressive research by the 'anti GM' lobby I find equally as worrying.

Personally l believe much of the GM research has been falsified and maybe only done testing short term on GM foods.
Here is supposed to be a secret NWO document that talks about falsified research on page 17.
http://www.stopthecrime.net/docs/NWO%20Plans%20Exposed%20By%20Insider%20In%201969.pdf
It also mentions food control on page 16 about making growing your own food illegal/. Obama tried to implement a bill in 2009 that had the power to shut down household gardens and small - medium size farms so his Monsato mates could run the show. Fortunately it was rejected. I have the bill somewhere. The above link also talks about encouraging takeaway/convenience foods so much of the population would get cancer and heart disease.
Gotta watch these bastards, these reptiles hate our guts and will screw us if they can.
Here is a govt document they don't want you to read on chemtrails and how they cvan manipulate the weather and screw us over..

Here is another hidden Army document on how they plan to target the population through radiation technology like smart meters.

^ Plus, as per HMH, viral pathogens embedded within GM food can be selected to affect the behaviour of consumers.

Yeah, they definitely want to kill us. We are considered to be mindless feeders and animals, that's why they give us sport and false news...keep us occupied with nonsense. And what's more, it is said they choose the U.S de facto Presidents when they are kids, and the elections have no bearing on the result at all, it is only a poll of public opinion of what policies are popular so they can get insight into the publics mind. As if we `the people' are going to choose who runs a country, that is rediculous.
Whether people say this is conspiracy or not, we are over regulated and our food supply and water supply has been poisened un-neccessarily. They want us mindless feeders dead. And if you feed us chemicals, how are we supposed to have a mind? Much of the human race have been made into robots.
My daughter has gone vegan and doesn´t smoke or much drink alcohol.
My brother is a bio-chemist by education and all of a sudden, overnight about two years ago, he became vegan and also enforced this upon his wife and kids. My mum was around at his on Christmas day getting tucked into the quorn roast. As it happens, by way of connection, one of my ex-girlfriends use to be in charge of the photo-shoots for quorn frozen meals.
Now, perhaps my brother stumbled across some secret research pertaining to the imminent demise of meat eaters or the food chain of meat becomming irredeemably poisoned. But even in this case, I am perplexed, as you couldn't get more of an artificial, man made, industrialised product than quorn. It even tastes like plastic.
It is said that most people don't stay vegan any longer than 7 years. It is a very risky diet. It needs to become a lifestyle, not just a choice to avoid animal products. The biggest problem with a vegan diet is that 99% of plant foods are too high in copper and too low in bioavailable zinc, even cooking food still allows for tannin binding which chelates with zinc. So what happens is that vegans become copper toxic (maybe even mercury toxic) and can lose their minds. And with excess copper comes long term mental decline because they can't produce EPA/DHA efficiently. Some of the biggest screwballs are vegans, and when vegans eat lots of fruit they can become mentally unbalanced....it's very common, l see it all the time.
They usually need to take B12 also. And if they don't and eat lots of fruit and don't exercise they become prone to heart attack because of low homosyteine levels (increases heart attack chances by 10%) and high fructose levels not being burnt off. And if they have a high fat diet like many vegans they also increase CVD. We always thought the `heart healthy oils' were good for us, but they have the same effect as butter according to the latest research done over 5 years and repeated in six different studies.
