Any suggestions for other trousers (colors, fabric, weaves, etc.) to compliment the "California tuxedo?" (Lightweight blazer, chambray shirt, chinos, and Sloops.) I was considering Nantucket Red, Salmon, Seafoam, Orange. (See my Fabric Suggestions for California Climate MTM Trouser Fabric post.)
Hey! You guys obviously have better taste in clothes than me. Comments also welcomed as to the "California tuxedo" look generally or any other suggestions regarding a casual - yet elegant and tasteful (two qualities posters here epitomize in my humble) - wardrobe for us who live in the southern California climate. I'm near the ocean where its not quite (but still shy) of 70, which for here is a crummy day. Thanks.

linen trousers are my favorite warm weather pants. white, cream, beige, tan, light blue, etc... are all great colors for linen pants. linen shirts and solid colored linen jackets are nice too.
Thanks. My concern about linen is - and has always been - that it wrinkles. Years ago - possibly in GQ - I remember reading about the fashion confidence required to wear linen. I wonder whether guys such as me look good in linen. I'm won't say I'm obese, but "athletic." I have a 42" waist. I'm 64. (Hey! As we age, we tend to put on weight. Its good. Natural.) +Broad shoulders. Also, again with reference the responses to my "Suggestions for California Climate MTM Trouser Fabric:" Do Holland and Sherry, Scabal, Loro Piana, Drapers, etc. have linens in their books? Or are there others recommended linens, with a eye - as all members here have - on quality.

^Since you have mentioned your "athletic" physique in conjunction with your 42" waist in a couple of posts, what is your chest size, pray tell? Seems to this old man that it would have to be in the vicinity of 54" to be truly "athletic" in conjunction with a 42 waist!
While most merchants will have a linen book, are there any that stand out from the others? I fit into a 50 Oxxford suit comfortably. I suffered chronic asthma in childhood, becoming a bit barrel-chested as a result and not something uncommon in asthmatics. A rude question in my humble, but I'm the jerk for having spent this much time on the subject.

I have had things made from both Minnis' & Holland & Sherry's books and both are a high quality tight weave.
