This article and the comments warm my heart.

Once upon a time we never had many good shoes to choose from, and shoomen in Australia were extremely rare. The explosion in demand for $500+ footwear has exploded. I am convinced it has been the nerd forums (clothing forums) which have done this, but it is also the dramatic drop in prices we now experience due to the internet forcing greedy retailers to lower the margins. I am so delighted to see so many young men wearing good quality English shoes, truely wonderful. I have my Church's black monks on today and they are a pure delight.
But still we have it...dopey blokes who want to skimp on cheap imports because they think they are getting good value for money. To those people l say, WAKE UP TURKEYS.
Sage advice in that article. I am aiming to reduce the number of shoes I own but raise the quality.
Woofy, you can never go wrong with that idea. Once you have some decent rotation you go for the best pairs you can afford. Nothing brings more satisfaction than a great pair of shoes. Once you get your first pair of good ones there is no going back.
What you said above warms my heart. It made great reading, thanks for that.

Can never have too many quality shoes. Keep buying up the good ones and never stop.
Good quality shoos are never a waste of money. Never had a regret buying the good ones ever. Wearin' my Edward Greens todays and feelin' snuck as a bug in a rug.
I love my handwelted the best by far, but l still love my goodyear shoes. I love all my shoos.
